Large Family Fun...

There are many benefits to being a part of a large family, and through the years I've been able to experience them in different ways and at different stages of life. Throughout my childhood my sisters were, without fail, my best friends. My parents taught me invaluable lessons (many of which I'm just now beginning to truly appreciate!) And now, even though we live hours away from each other, we still find so much joy in fellowshipping together.

One blessing of being in a large family is the incredible support system that it offers. For the past 2 weeks, I've been thoroughly enjoying this blessing; my Mom so very generously sent my sister Stephanie to come help me out while I'm battling morning sickness. (Yes, I said morning sickness... *wink*)

This is one of the beauties of family, whether large or small... family takes care of family. Right now, I'm the beneficiary of some much needed and VERY gratefully received help!  I cannot thank my mother enough for giving up one of her much needed assistants in order to help me out right now!! It takes a lot of work to run a smoothly functioning home and homeschool children... so I fully appreciate the depth of her parting with Stephanie for 2 weeks!  The majority of the time it's been raining, but we took advantage of a few sunny days and played outside all day...

On our rainy days we had to get "creative", since there's only so much coloring and such that a person can take.... thus, the current state of the living room:

Perfect little houses for girls and boys!

Praise the Lord. I noticed you made a comment in another post about not feeling well but I didn't want to be too nosy and ask. : ) I am so excited for you.

Congratulations Christie!! I'm so excited for you and Issac! I had picked up on this comment in a recent post -- "I haven't been feeling top-notch as of late," and I wondered . . . Your mom let me in on the secret last Saturday when we met for coffee at ABC. What a treat that was! I just Love your Mom! She is such a jewel! Praying all goes well and that you treasure each moment of this pregnancy, even the difficult ones! To God be the Glory!!

blessings,
Elizabeth
