So, Sarah Mae over at Like a Warm Cup of Coffee is hosting 12 New Things; a journey in mastering new skills, where the goal is to learn a new skill every month from August to July. I'm joining in, so here are;
My 12 New Things:
August - Prepare a new ethnic cuisine
September - Create "Easter Tree" "curriculum"
October - Knit a cowl on circular needles
November - Make natural deoderant
December - Memorize a book of the bible... exactly which one, still to be determined
January - Start learning Spanish as a family
February - Increase my photography skills
March - Learn to make TASTY sourdough bread
April - Make salves and toners
May - Plant a flower garden for floral arrangements
June - Hand stitched hems
July - Write a song

What a great idea! I should do this... help me pace myself so I'm not trying to learn all the new things I'd like to do all at once! There's just so much to learn :D

I used whole wheat for the rye, didn't retard it in the fridge (which would make it tangier) and since I did it all by hand (I don't have a KA mixer), I needed more flour. My husband kept going back for more.

I'm definitely going to give that recipe a try!! Thanks for the tips! My previous attempt at sourdough was... extremely disappointing. Even I couldn't bear the taste of it!
