Helping Families hit by the Alabama Tornadoes

As you all know by now, the devastation caused by the tornadoes that ripped through Alabama a few days ago is immense.

According to the Associated Press:

Emergency officials have raised Alabama's death toll to 238, bringing the total number killed in seven states from devastating tornadoes to 329.
It is the deadliest day for twisters since the Great Depression
Isaac received news very early Thursday morning that some dear families in Alabama had been hit very hard. He woke me at 1:30, telling me that he was going to shower and pull some things together and head out to help. The devastation he arrived to was overwhelming.

Many of you may know the Lee family through Mrs. Lee's blog, and the Crawford family through Kelly's blog, Generation Cedar.
These families have much rebuilding to do, and above all they need our prayers. They are also desperately in need of financial help right now. Our dear friend, Peter Bradrick, has set up website to raise donations which are going directly to the local church, Christ Church Branch Cove. You can specify which family you wish to donate to. There are also videos you can view of the families describing what occurred and what needs they have. Please go to THIS WEBSITE; view the videos and consider donating to help these precious families. They are going to need help rebuilding their homes, paying hospital bills, and so much more. There is much to be done.
Most of all; pray for healing, comfort, and that God's glory be witnessed by many in a mighty way. This is an amazing opportunity to be able to reach out and love the body of Christ.

I am so thankful that you emailed me. We didn't get power back until Friday morning and I have no idea how long it would have been before I got around to reading blogs again. My heart is so heavy. I am so restless with the desire to do more than prayer and give money. Please let me know if we can do anything. We aren't that far from them. We can drive there in about 2 1/2 hours!!!

Love you,
Emily

Thanks so much for letting us know how to help. My heart has been so burdened for these dear sisters and brothers in the Lord.
